Description

On behalf of the Land of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, a new building for the archaeological museum of Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania is to be constructed by the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania Building and Real Estate (BBL M-V) in the Hanseatic City of Rostock at the Christinenhafen. To this end, a high-construction competition (Museum) with urban planning content (neighbouring areas of BUGA 2025) will be organised as part of the preliminary planning. Following the competition, the contracting authority intends to gradually entrust the winner with the design and execution services for phases 3-9 in accordance with the HOAI. The planning of the permit is expected by the end of 2019. Construction is planned to start in March 2021, opening in March 2025. The planned museum space programme includes permanent and special exhibition spaces, meeting, seminar and office space, Cafe, foyer, museum pedagogical and service areas with 5 160 m² Nuf, 8 700 m² BGF and 1 000 m² of open space, preferably to be integrated into the building. The estimated total construction costs currently amount to approximately EUR 54500000,00 gross (KG 200-700) without deep construction. In the urban planning part, proposals should in particular be made on how to classify a flower hall for BUGA (approximately 6 700 m² BGF) with subsequent re-use.
