Use-specific installations: 900 m Cu-tube pipes DN 8-32, 2 St pneumatic compressors 70 Nm3/h, 1 St refrigerated dryer and clean air treatment, 1 St helium return plant 300 l/min, 1 St helium melium bubble 12 m³, 100 m vacuum insulated pipe for liquid nitrogen Description of building type: Component 1 is a four-storey research order building for various specialised areas with offices, wet chemical and physical laboratories, not sub-celled, in solid construction (steel concrete). The top level as a technical floor in lightweight (steel) with flat roof. Component 2 is a ground-mounted NMR – centre with large-scale laboratory rooms for the operation of magnetic spectroscopes, not subclad, at two different heights, in solid construction (steel concrete, roof construction partially in wood) with flat roof. The abbreviation NMR (see: nuclear magnetic resonance) stands for nuclear spin resonance spectroscopy. Measurements are made on liquid or solid samples using superconductive electromagnets. It examines the electronic environment of individual atoms and the interaction with their neighbouring atoms. NMR spectroscopy is used in scientific research (biology, chemistry, biochemistry, physics) and medicine. The highly sensitive NMR spectroscopies produce different sizes depending on the design and performance of electromagnetic fields. This gives rise to various specific requirements for the building, including vibration decoupling, indoor climate and temperatures.Place of execution: The construction site is located on the edge of the campus of the Technical University of Darmstadt, Petersenstraße (door number not yet allocated), between the Institute buildings of the Chemistry Department and the Böllenfalltorweg. The construction area lies south of an institution’s own parking area, which is not available as an area and must be protected. The construction site will be developed via the Böllenfalltor Route.
