Description

The North Karelia Welfare Region will make a direct procurement of the child welfare foster care needed by the Social Services' child welfare services Romano Missio Ry, with Päiväkumpu Children's Home, for the contract period from 4 March 2026, continuing until further notice. Among the foster care places selected through the dynamic purchasing system (492908 / Child Welfare Purchasing Services Procurement System), there is no free foster care place that meets the child's needs. A contracting entity may make direct procurement in individual cases in social and health service procurements in accordance with Chapter 12, Section 110 of the Procurement Act if it would be manifestly unreasonable and particularly inappropriate to organise a tendering procedure in order to secure a care and customer relationship that is significant for the child. The total estimated value of the procurement is EUR 467 200 (VAT 0%) above the national threshold. In the case of an open-ended contract, the total estimated value has been calculated over a period of 48 months.
