This contract includes the placing of a framework agreement to have inspection on vehicles (buses) carried out by external parties on behalf of De Lijn, given that De Lijn does not have sufficient capacity to carry out all these inspections itself. At present, De Lijn itself carries out the inspections (including functional, qualitative and electrical tests, test drives and measurements) at the delivery of new controlled vehicles (GVO & VVO) and the conformity assessment for a new type of vehicle at the operators in the event of the commissioning for the concession of the exploi-tant. Inspections, tests and quality checks must be carried out at the manufacturer's production site and at local dealers in Belgium.
