EA Establishment of new offices Chamber of Commerce
Internal and external developments led to the recalibration of the Strategic Housing Plan (SHP) of the Chamber of Commerce. For example, an Agile transition process has taken place within KVK and COVID has resulted in an accelerated growth of hybrid work applications. In addition to the ongoing digitalisation of services and products, it has also been decided to maintain an appropriate presence in the regions for physical customer contact. This and other developments give reason to look again at the layout and size of existing office locations, but also to look for more suitable locations where necessary. In view of this process, an Interior Style Manual (ISHB) Chamber of Commerce has recently been developed. Not only to promote the KVK brand proposition in terms of tone and style, but also to be able to better meet the changing requirements and wishes of KVK. KVK does not currently have a contract for the aforementioned services. Until 2022, the Chamber of Commerce housing strategy focused on scaling down the number of offices from 20 to 6 branches. In the years that followed, the purchase of interior construction was tendered separately for each housing project and for minor changes. The layout of the majority of the locations is currently dated and sometimes still bears the signature of the ‘old’ regionally organised Chambers of Commerce. Current situation In the current situation, the Chamber of Commerce is located at 17 locations in the Netherlands. All locations concern a rented (part of a) building. Often the building is a former Chamber of Commerce location from the period that Chamber of Commerce still consisted of various regional organizations. The new RRP has been adopted, including a – preliminary – site-by-site impact analysis. The necessary actions for change have been translated into a so-called roadmap for the period 2024-2028. This means that in addition to adjustments at some existing locations, relocations to new locations will also take place in different regions. Desired situation In the desired situation, the Chamber of Commerce will have 15 locations in 2027 in the municipalities that have been established in the SHP and that all Chamber of Commerce locations for the interior will eventually comply with the Program of Requirements (PvE), which is based on the frameworks, principles and design guidelines from the SHP and the ISHB. The core themes are: visibility, recognisability, functionality, flexibility, and sustainability. KVK aims to conclude a framework agreement with two specialised parties as the main contractor for the consultancy and implementation work in the field of architectural work, installation technology and interior construction of the SHP.
