Germany-Eschborn: Foreign economic-aid-related services
The aim of the Adaptur project is to build the capacity of the Mexican tourism sector in selected regions to enable it to adapt better to the already noticeable adverse impacts of climate change.This will involve analysing the impacts of climate change on the environment, ecosystem services and the tourism industry and training key stakeholders in ecosystem-based adaptation (EbA).The contractor’s tasks are:
A) to draw up a capacity development strategy to support the technical and methodological mainstreaming and application-oriented dissemination of the EbA approach and, building on this, to run;
B) target-group-specific training courses for at least 250 persons at national, federal state and local level in three project regions. In addition, via an advisory pool of short-term expert, the contractor should;
C) provide technical advisory services (which may include further capacity building) on specific EbA issues and EbA measures.
