Description

NHS Ipswich and East Suffolk Clinical Commissioning Group and The Ipswich Hospital NHS Trust sought to jointly commission Community gastroenterology services across the Ipswich and East Suffolk (minus Waveney) locality. The scope of this tender included the provision of facilities in community locations that can fully support the delivery of efficient and gastroenterology services, including Endoscopy, Prior Approval Service and potentially new services such as; prevention work, triage of referrals, supporting primary care and the signposting of patients to alternative services such as Lifestyle and/or wellbeing. The provider will also be asked to attend, participate and contribute in regular Gastro “Strategic Partnership” board meetings; the board will steer the five-year Gastro transformation towards its goals which includes improving patient outcomes.
