Description

Organisation Meerinzicht is the partnership of the municipalities of Ermelo, Harderwijk and Zeewolde aimed at joint operations and implementation of municipal tasks within the social domain. The incumbent senior management communication advisor will be partially freed up for a complex and time-consuming project for the period of 6 months. Some of the duties of this consultant should be taken over during this period. The (interim) advisor works for team Communicatie Meerinzicht (MiZ), but works in practice for the municipality of Zeewolde. Support in the development of content and the use of online and social media is provided by MiZ's Content & Creation team (working as a central back office). The day-to-day functional management of the Zeewolde communication team lies with the senior management communication advisor. The formal manager is involved, but is more distant from the daily operation. The municipality of Zeewolde is 40 years old, a young municipality. Residents, city council and administrators try to preserve the rural and village character of Zeewolde. This while the national government sees Zeewolde - because of the space available - as a growth location for, for example, housing, reception of asylum seekers and strengthening of defence tasks. The official and administrative organisation is driven, collegial and involved, but tends towards an ad hoc way of working. The organization recognizes this and is working on change. Team Communication plays an important role in this (culture) change. The team works with an annual plan based on municipal spearheads and the coalition plan. This plan determines what team Communication does and does not pick up. We are looking for an experienced (board) communication advisor who can independently advise two aldermen, develop communication plans and (have them) implemented. The consultant must monitor the limits of his/her assignment and, if necessary, be able to and dare to say ‘no’ when a request for support falls outside the annual plan. Candidates must score at least “partially satisfactory” on all requirements, wishes and competences, otherwise the contracting department (Communication) reserves the right not to award the contract due to “not suitable candidates”. Procedure Suitable candidates have a selection interview with the department manager HRM & Communication, the senior management communication advisor and a fellow advisor and a click interview with an alderman and the municipal secretary.
