Supply of sodium bicarbonate for the MHKW Kassel Müllheizkraftwerk Kassel GmbH (MHKW) is a company of the municipal KVV group (KVV: Kasseler Verkehrs- und Versorgungs-GmbH). In particular, the CHP ensures the environmentally friendly baseload supply of district heating in Kassel and contributes a significant share to the electricity supply. As part of the flue gas cleaning to be carried out, there is a regular need for sodium bicarbonate. The annual quantity for the first period is about 4,000 tonnes and from 2026 about 5,000 tonnes.
