Description

The Rhein-Main GmbH network services are planning to build a district heating interconnector from the HKW – West to HKW – Messe. The total length of the path is approx. 2.4 km, consisting of a forward and a return line. In the present proceedings, the services for the production of the first are: Construction phases are awarded. The sub-sections are located partly on the premises of Mainova AG, in the public area, in the area of influence of DB AG, in the area of influence of the Frankfurt Portbahn (management of the port and market Frankfurt) and Messe Frankfurt GmbH. The pipeline is carried out as both overhead and underground district heating pipeline. Due to the urban location and the construction works in the DB AG catchment area and the other designated third parties, an increased coordination effort is to be expected as part of the implementation.
The transport medium is hot water flowing through the district heating pipelines at a maximum temperature of 120 °C and an operating pressure of PN 16 (pressure nominal).
For the construction of a functional (operational) district heating line, the production of a district heating pipeline as an earthed line (approx. 420 m) and overhead line (approx. 465 m) must be carried out inclusive of all load-bearing and auxiliary structures (steel construction, foundation, etc.) and intermediate construction conditions.
