Description

Background Region Värmland is facing the need to replace the current integration platform (Microsoft BizTalk Server) that reaches end‑of‑life 2028. The platform is currently critical to society and is used in all areas of activity as well as for central support functions. The region has conducted a Request for Information (RFI) with associated supplier dialogues in order to gain knowledge about possible integration platforms, technical options and working methods. The results of this work will form the basis for future procurement. The project leader assignment takes over in the transition between RFI and procurement. The mission aims to ensure a well-founded and long-term sustainable path for the region's integration platform, rather than rapidly implementing a technological change. The assignment does not include the role of procurer, this is handled by the region's procurers. The purpose of the assignment is to provide project management for a strategic change process where: technical choices and goal-architecture is not yet established focus is on structuring decision-making, requirements and procurement the region's long-term need for robustness, continuity and manageability shall be ensured The Project Manager shall support the operations and procurers in the transition from RFI to procurement, and an introduction once the procurement is completed and the contract is signed. Project managers shall contribute to the development of decision-making material for technical orientation together with the business. The documentation will form the basis for future procurement and create the conditions for a controlled and long-term migration from the existing integration platform. The assignment will be about 60 - 100% occupancy. Initially, the assignment will be about 60% and the consultant must be able to switch up to 100% when the need arises.
