The service under this procedure is performed in accordance with the requirements laid down in the technical specification of the contracting authority - Annex No 1 to the procurement documents. The service consists of preparing and providing lunch, each working day of the week, including a main course and bread. In social kitchens, 10 (ten) festive lunches are provided for the duration of the contract, on the occasion of celebrations of national and major Christian holidays (3 March; Easter; May 6th; 6th and 22nd September; Christmas and New Year), while additionally providing food and/or drinks according to the specifics of the holiday (if any) and according to the additional funds set for this purpose, for example: soft drink, Easter bread, painted eggs, turkey meat, lamb meat, grilled meat, bread with luck, banitsa, etc., at the following volume: - Lot No 1 ‘Service of social cuisine at the Ministry of Defence in Varna’ – up to 35 persons, with the lunch prepared for the eligible persons between 12.00 and 13.00; - Lot No 2 ‘Service of social cuisine at the Ministry of Defence in Pazardzhik’ – up to 30 persons, with the lunch prepared for the eligible persons between 11.00 and 12.00; - Lot No 3 ‘Service of social cuisine at the Ministry of Defence in Shumen’ – up to 20 persons, with the lunch prepared for the eligible persons between 12.00 and 13.00. On the basis of Article 21(6) of the Public Procurement Act, the contracting authority awarded Lot 4 of the contract in accordance with the procedure applicable to its individual estimated value, namely by direct award in accordance with Article 20(4)(2) of the Public Procurement Act. Estimated value of Lot 4: ‘Service of social cuisine at the Ministry of Defence in Dupnitsa’ is BGN 67606 excluding VAT, of which: - estimated value of the social kitchen service at the Ministry of Defence in Dupnitsa for a period of 24 months – BGN 56 366 excluding VAT and option price – BGN 11 240 excluding VAT. Option: Unit prices are subject to change in the event of a change in the unit price of a lunch by an act/resolution of the Minister of Defence and/or in the event of a subsequent act by the CONTRACTING AUTHORITY. In this case, prices shall be updated in accordance with the procedure laid down in Article 116(1)(1) of the Public Procurement Act, within the limits of the means provided for updating the price. On the basis of Article 116(1)(1) of the Public Procurement Act, after the expiry of the period of validity provided that the contracting authority has opened a public procurement procedure with a similar subject matter, taking into account the statutory time limits for conducting and appealing it, but at the time of expiry of this contract the procedure has not been concluded with a final decision on the selection of a contractor and no new contract has been concluded, the contracting authority reserves the right to extend the duration of the contract until the conclusion of a contract for the performance of the newly opened contract, but not by more than 12 (twelve) months and provided that there is financial resources left under the contract.
