Cleaning the Light Rail, Ring 3
Metro Service A/S (hereinafter MeSe) has since 2002 operated and maintained the Copenhagen Metro for MetroSelskab (MS). In October 2025, MeSe is expected to start operating the Greater Copenhagen Light Rail on Ring 3, and before the start of operations, it is expected that up to 180 light rail drivers, technicians and control room operators will be employed for the new Control and Maintenance Centre (hereinafter CMC) in Glostrup. The light rail will cover a total distance of approximately 28 km and includes 29 stations from Ishøj to Lundtofte north of Lyngby. The line will come into operation in 2 phases, with Phase 1 (South: Ishøj station to Herlev station) with expected start in October 2025 and includes 14 stations and 19 train sets. Phase 2 (North: Herlev Bymidte station to Lundtofte station) with a further 15 stations and 10 train sets and expected start-up in May 2026. The expected start of cleaning at Letbanen's CMC will be in early December 2025. These tender specifications concern the procurement of cleaning, grooming, window cleaning, anti-slip cleaning and graffiti cleaning of the CMC of the Letbanen railway, interior parts of multiple units as well as stations, station areas and structures between stations.
