Description

On behalf of the Regional Public Transport Authority in Västra Götaland (rkm), Västtrafik AB intends to procure boat transport services starting in 2024 under the name ‘boat traffic 2024 Tjörn’. It is the boat traffic between Chörn, Chörnekalv, Dyvit and Åstol and between Kyrkund and Härön that are planned to be traded.
The tender will be subject to a public service obligation decision being taken by rkm. The decision will be preceded by consultation of stakeholders.
Västtrafik intends to launch the tender procedure in autumn 2022. The traffic currently covers a total of 3 vehicles and some 185 000 journeys per year under the current agreement.
The timing, areas, content and scope of the planned procurements may differ from specified areas and volumes.
Single or several of the areas may be removed from the procurement after consultations, concluded renewal negotiations or after negotiations with other stakeholders.
Västtrafik may coordinate the procurement of these areas with other transport tenders.
