Description

The existing child clinic in Passau with a socio-paediatric centre must be adapted to the current needs. Following the start of operations of the Third Orden Passau Children’s Clinic in 1991, adequate care was provided for premature babies, children and young people for the city and the rural district of Passau and parts of the adjacent rural districts of Rottal-Inn and Freyung-Grafenau, in cooperation with the Passau clinic. Since 1993, the child clinic, together with the Passau clinic, has been recognised as a prenatal centre with the highest level of care (level 1).
Care for sick new and premature babies has undergone massive changes in recent years. This is particularly evident from the increased hygienic challenges, but also by the changes in the medical-care processes.
Therefore, the objectives for the restructuring of neonatology are as follows:
— Ensuring the conditions for implementing and ensuring developmental care and family-centred care;
— Ensuring compliance with sufficient hygiene requirements for the prevention of nosocomial diseases and for the implementation of the requirements of the LGL;
— Restoring and ensuring the smooth running of operations on a permanent basis;
— Restoration of places to care for newborns requiring surveillance and care-intensive;
— These measures must be fully implemented.
The basis for further planning is the submitted application for advance determination with the requirements of the examination of the application.
This measure is to be supported by the Free State of Bavaria. For this purpose, a gross floor area of 1 773 m² must be processed.
The cost limit provided for by the Client for this purpose is approximately EUR 7 million gross.
