This study addresses the lack of machinery in the Municipality of Soufli to carry out the following tasks: • cleaning ditches – torrents and stagnant water collection points, • cleaning and transporting materials dangerous to fire, for fire protection needs • loading and transporting material for the maintenance of rural roads • cleaning - maintenance of rural roads and their accompanying technical works as necessary • cleaning - maintenance of fire protection roads and fire truck access roads as necessary and in cooperation with the Alexandroupolis-Soufli- Didymoteicho Forest Service • Cleaning and removal of flammable materials around all settlements due to their disposal either by residents of the Municipality or by the passage of illegal immigrants, such as leaves, branches, paper, wood or metal objects for fire protection purposes • Cleaning of uncontrolled wild vegetation • Clearing of road networks of settlements Specifically, 12 sectors are created: four for the Municipal Unit of Soufli, three for the Municipal Unit of Tychero and five for the Municipal Unit of Orpheus of the Municipality of Soufli.
