According to the Final Report of the Preliminary Consultations to the Canary Islands Geo Innovation Program 2030, "Challenge 1, HAPS, satellite and UAS Platforms", in order to continue with the creation of a reference center in the HAPS sector with infrastructures and R&D+i equipment necessary for the development of HAPS, it is necessary to provide the infrastructure with auxiliary facilities such as this large hangar and all those associated equipment and facilities.
