In July 2021, the district of Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf implemented the Office for Civic Participation (BfB). The Office for Citizens' Participation coordinates the implementation process of the Guidelines for Citizens' Participation in the Charlottenburg-Wilmersdorf district. The district developed its own guidelines in 2022 and published them in 2023. As a result, in 2023, 2024 and 2025, the funds made available by the Senate Department for Urban Development and Housing to build and operate the Participation Space (previously: Contact point for citizens' participation).
