Germany-Berlin: Software supply services
The subject matter of the proceedings is the conclusion of a framework contract with a trading partner for the acquisition of Microsoft licences, including software assurance and the renewal of software support in respect of existing Microsoft licences, in each case with the associated rights, and in particular the right to use previous versions of the relevant product at any time instead of the current version and to submit the new licences used for the first time during a contract year in an annual batch report. The Contracting Authority is entitled to accede to the Enterprise Agreement as part of BMI’s framework agreement on terms and conditions between the Federal Republic of Germany and Microsoft. If the services provided by the tenderer require the contracting authority to accede to the BMI contracts, the contracting authority is willing to participate in such an accession.
In particular, the following services will be required under the contract:
— Supply of the software ordered in each case and granting the corresponding rights to supply approximately 1050 jobs (approx. 95 % extensions of existing software support)
and approximately 5 % re-licensing),
— The provision of any added value services provided by the licensor in the context of the acquisition of a licence and software support;
— Support in software asset management, such as providing all activation information (licence keys) in electronic and machine-readable form;
— Documentation of the licences delivered (type and volume) in written and electronic form,
— Advice on the right licensing strategy and related optimisation options, in particular the optimisation of CALS licensing,
— Assisting the contracting authority to prove an existing license to Microsoft for the duration of the contract,
— Assisting the contracting authority in the management of licences.
