Service Framework Contract for the provision of “Studies on EU Chemicals Legislation and Defence aspects”
This contract aims to improve the effectiveness of EDA's coordinating role on chemicals and waste regulation to make a more proactive and comprehensive assessment of the evolving European regulatory framework, to better evaluate the actual impact of new restrictions on chemicals (including indirect ones affecting dual supply chains) on the defence sector, to anticipate necessary mitigating actions, and to develop best apply implementation measures. This contract aims to enhance ongoing monitoring and awareness of broader EU policies that may impact defence capabilities, with a particular focus on chemicals and waste regulations: - Its primary objective is to establish a continuous regulatory monitoring and to assess the implications of evolving legislation on defence and dual-use applications; The second key objective is to provide in-depth analyses of specific chemical-related challenges impacting the defence sector, along with an assessment of potential mitigation measures to avoid compromising defence readiness.
