Description

The North Karelia Joint Municipal Authority for Education for Riveria's Industry and Bioeconomy business area, machinery, metals and plastics, will be acquired as a direct purchase of a CNC press brake from Bystronic Scandinavia AB. The requirements for automated production have increased and the current equipment no longer meets today's quality and accuracy requirements. The new press brake will be placed alongside existing equipment and will be used to expand and modernise the current learning environment, improving the quality and availability of teaching. The selection of Bystronic machines is justified by their compatibility and usability to support the current learning environment, based on the following criteria: • Same software in press brake and laser. • 100% compatibility in the software between the laser and the press brake, including the machines themselves and the PC software. • A better description of the manufacturing process in working life; compatibility brings with it a realistic and excellent preparation process for working life when a product is programmed and manufactured using software from the same manufacturer. • Finnish-language service and support for all problems, including spare parts, from a single number for both lasers and press brakes: Bystronic Hotline. • Devices from different equipment manufacturers use different control systems, for example, and are therefore not suitable for purchase. Justifications for direct procurement in accordance with the Act on Public Procurement in accordance with section 40 of the Act on Public Procurement and Concession Contracts, a contracting entity may select a direct procurement if, for reasons related to the protection of technical exclusivity, only a particular supplier can carry out the procurement; a further condition is that there are no reasonable alternative or substitute solutions and that the absence of competition is not the result of an artificial narrowing down of the terms of the contract.
