Description

Description of the construction project: Due to the adaptation of the water supply of the building by HamburgWasser, the extinguishing water supply of the fire extinguishing system (object protection) must be changed. In this process, the fire extinguishing system receives a corresponding fire-fighting water tank as an improvement measure for the supply of fire-fighting water. Due to the classification of the building as a meeting place, a classification in fire hazard class OH4 according to VdS CEA 4001 2024-01 is required according to the plant design. Compared to the previous fire-fighting water requirement with an effective area of 150 m2 (construction-time VdS 2092), the fire hazard class OH4 according to VdS CEA 4001 2024-01 with an effective area of 360 m2 significantly increases the fire-fighting water requirement. Due to the associated structural difficulties in producing the extinguishing water volume required for fire hazard class OH4, the expert of the VdS for the inspection of the system, the upgrading of the system to an extinguishing system of the fire hazard class OH3 as a deviating solution from the VdS CEA 4001 2024-01 was agreed in advance. By manufacturing the plant to a plant of fire hazard class OH3, the active area of 216 m2 significantly improves the existing stock (previously 150 m2) - also taking into account the planned fire-fighting water supply (object protection). Against the background that the type of use and thus the hazard level of the building should not change, there are also no concerns from the fire protection point of view with regard to the classification of the extinguishing system in the fire hazard class OH3, as this in conjunction with the planned fire-fighting water supply a significant fire protection upgrade of the system technology takes place. It is intended to build a fire-fighting water tank with a capacity of 150 m3 between the biotope and the town house in a western direction. The subterranean technical centre must be attached to the fire-fighting water tank. The following must be set up or installed in the technical centre: - the diesel engine driven sprinkler pump with control cabinet - the suction line with foot valve, gate valve and the necessary pipelines - the pressure line with branch for test line, check valve and the necessary pipelines - the test line with test valve, measuring cover and the necessary pipelines Sprinklerzentrale alt: The existing sprinkler control centre is completely dismantled. The room is made available to the town hall for use. There are to dismantle 1 piece intermediate tank (volume 5 m3), the electric sprinkler pump, 1 piece wet alarm valve station as well as the entire pipelines. Excluded from dismantling is the pressure holding pump, which remains in stock. The wet alarm valve station will be rebuilt in the house connection room. Adaptation of the pipe network of the sprinkler system within the ventilation centre: In the ventilation center on the upper floor of the southern part of the town house, the ventilation units with the connected ventilation ducts and built-in components are renewed. According to the new arrangement of the ventilation ducts, the sprinklers are installed in such a way that sufficient protection within the ventilation center is ensured by the sprinklers. The previous arrangement of the sprinklers and the distribution system must therefore be dismantled. Area restructuring: Due to the reorganization of the area and the conversion of the office space, sprinklers must be dismantled, retrofitted or reinstalled in various rooms. After completion of the work and acceptance by the VdS, the contractor assumes responsibility for the entire sprinkler system. The takeover includes the complete newly built part and the existing pipe network, which was already in stock before the start of activity. The invitation to tender contains only the fittings required in accordance with VdS CEA 4001 latest version. The fire-fighting water tank and the room of the technical centre are manufactured as structures by the installer of the fire-fighting water tank.
