Description

The object of the procurement is the loose furniture for the self-study and group work spaces of the University of Helsinki Learning Centre Alexandria, located at Fabianinkatu 28. The Learning Centre offers students comfortable facilities to support their studies and is part of the University of Helsinki's campus development, which aims to create a modern learning environment to meet the needs of students. The number of users of the premises is large. For different forms of work, a total of 650 workstations will be built on floors K1-4. In line with the circular economy objectives, the site will also use existing furniture for refurbishment and re-upholstery. The furniture must be suitable for the general appearance of the building and the existing furniture. Example furniture types are defined in the plans. The tenderer is requested to offer equivalent or alternative furniture that would be aesthetically and functionally suitable for the premises. Furniture must be of high quality, serviceable, ergonomic and durable to serve its users in the long term. The evaluation emphasises the quality of furniture, visual compatibility with the architecture of the space and existing furniture, durability of materials, and the usability and adaptability of furniture to different learning situations. The furniture must have experience and references in public buildings. The furniture to be purchased has been divided into eight (8) procurement packages. Tenders may be submitted for one or more furniture groups. On the basis of the invitation to tender, a supplier will be selected for each furniture group. A parallel tender can be made for a maximum of two different furniture models per furniture group (a new tender can be made as a copy on the basis of a previous tender). According to the preliminary schedule, the delivery time for the furniture is May 2025. Text automatically translated in your browsing language Automatically translated
