Precipitation gauges and 3rd line maintenance
The Contract involves the delivery of Precipitation gauges and third line maintenance on behalf of the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute (KNMI) as the Contracting Authority. The motivation behind this project is based on the need to replace the existing KNMI designed Precipitation gauges that have been used in KNMI’s automated network of Precipitation gauges since 1992. The scope of this European tender is to purchase a catchment style Precipitation gauge that adheres to WMO specifications for precipitation accumulation, intensity, and duration. If Supplier can not offer a catchment style gauge that can report duration with the required accuracy, then Supplier can include an additional precipitation monitor/detector in its offer to operate in parallel with the gauge. The expected order value of the purchase of the offered Solution is 50 gauges. The expected order value of the purchase of the offered Solution is 50* gauges x € 2.700 to € 6.000 per Solution = € 135.000 to € 300.000,-. The estimated value of 3rd line maintenance over the total technical life of the Solution is estimated to be about 20% of the purchase value: 20% from € 135.000 to € 300.000,- = € 27.000,- to € 60.000,-. Costs for training are estimated at € 15.000,-. The exact value depends on what the Tenderer offers. In addition to the cost of procurement, training and Third-line maintenance, costs for calibration-/ and maintenance sets and tools, spares and costs for additional products such as stand poles and windscreens will also be requested. Thus, the total value of the Agreement may be higher than just the sum of previously mentioned amounts depending on what appears necessary for installation of the offered Solution.
