Description

As part of the maintenance subsystem of the Ametiste project for the upgrading of the Marcoule STEL, 5 new FMD basins and one or 2 new buildings with auxiliary functions associated with the basins will be set up in the area of STEL. The corresponding ODA studies will be carried out from the second quarter of 2013 onwards.
The RCD-bitumen project, for its part, aims to take back waste leaks stored in 14 casemates, with a view to repackaging it before storage under safe conditions which allow it to await the availability of their final outlet.
With this in mind, an interface enabling the first two casemates to be opened, as well as a reconditioning cell called ERCF, have been operational since 2007. An extension of this interface to casemates 3 and 4 is under construction.
It is planned to build 2 new extensions to enable them to be taken over in casemates 5 to 14, and 8 (from 2017), then in casemates 9 to 13 (from 2019), as well as a new packaging plant, known as ECF, which came into operation in 2019.
These new buildings (extension 5/8 + 14, extension 9/13 and ECF), currently under study, are covered by the geotechnical mission for RCD-bitumen.
The service consists of a soil recognition campaign and a soil survey for each of the projects.
(a) Maintenance project: to cover all the cases envisaged for installing new basins and buildings at STEL, this soil study covers the construction of 5 basins (2 sets of 3 and 2 basins located in 2 separate zones), 2 new buildings (auxiliary functions of new basins), and the extension of an existing building;
(b) RCD-bitumen project: installation of a connecting corridor for several buildings in the current storage area of the STEMA project.
The holder must hold a CEFRI PRI CC authorisation.
The services will be subject to authorisation by the Head of the STEL Installation Unit through the examination of FEM-DAM files.
Since the tasks entrusted to the contractor are called upon to affect the material safety aspects (EIS) of the installations concerned, they are subject to the Order of 10 August 1984 on the quality of the design, construction and operation of basic nuclear installations.
