The city of Weißenburg i. Bay. intends to convert the former Progymnasium (Nördliche Ringstraße 33) into a day nursery for 100 children in 4 groups.In addition to the 4 group rooms, the room programme includes associated functional rooms such as a multi-purpose room, etc., as well as a kitchen and a dining room with an eligible main usable area of a total of approx. 500 to 530 m2.The listed building in which the day nursery is to be accommodated was built in 1895/96 according to planning by city architect Sebastian Eckart as the first new school building outside the city walls. It is a brick building with decorative pieces made of sandstone. In view of the humanistic tradition of the higher educational institution, the Neo-Renaissance was chosen as the architectural style (Gotthard Kießling).The western adjacent property with two stately trees - the Pausenhof - is currently used as a parking lot. In the course of the refurbishment or redesign, this place should be unsealed and used as a rest area.The following points must be taken into account in the planning:- Energetic upgrading while maintaining the monument character- Renewals of the domestic installations HLS/E- Renovation of the existing building, the monument value should be emphasized again- Examination of the best.
