HWSB21_AL_M40_V020 - Flow to Lenne, relocation of mixed water channel Südstraße
The city of Altena was severely affected by the heavy rain and flood events in July 2021. A large part of the urban area with its narrow valleys was severely affected by floods, very dynamic drains, landslides and debris and sediment stone discharge. The aim of the measures to be planned and implemented is the dismantling of the existing throttle structure and an adequate refurbishment of a new throttle structure to the east of the existing site. The existing channel DN 300 is to be removed. Instead, the mixed water canal located in the Südstraße is to be connected directly to the culvert starting under the waterbed of the Rahmede, which leads the existing sewerage system under the Lenne. This can be done in the area of parcel 583. The building standing there so far has already been demolished down to the floor slab. The flood relief DN 900 B can and should remain in place. The services of property planning civil engineering structures must be carried out. The specific services result from the partial service agreement.
