Description

The school campus of the Commercial Schools Donaueschingen consists of three parts. Building B, built in 1980/81, has age-related defects. The reinforced concrete construction with exposed concrete elements and outdated insulation no longer meets today's standards. The main roof of the theory building is a flat roof with light domes and PV system, which is renewed. The workshop areas have shed roofs that are affected by water damage. These are replaced by a flat roof with PV system and skylights. The outer shell has not yet been comprehensively refurbished and no longer meets current energy requirements. The exposed concrete curtain wall is to be replaced by a modern wooden facade. In the interior, the renovation focuses on pollution and fire protection as well as the renewal of electrical engineering, including computer cabling, LED lighting and KNX control.
