Provision of Access to a Platform providing Energy Related Data and Information
The Commission for Regulation of Utilities (“CRU”) is Ireland’s independent energy and water regulator. Our work impacts Irish homes and businesses ensuring safe, secure and sustainable energy and water supplies for all customers. The Market Modelling Group (MMG) is part of the Security of Supply and Wholesale Division. The MMG carries out many integral functions, including but not limited to, the Public Service Obligation (PSO) Levy, Imperfections Charges, and Directed Contracts. Energy data and information is an integral component to a number of critical CRU business functions and the MMG relies on the data and information in several workstreams including for the calculation of Directed Contracts (DCs), Imperfection Charges and the PSO Benchmark Price. The MMG also carries out various policy analysis and additional ad-hoc modelling exercises using the data and information retrieved from an energy platform. The MMG requires access to a platform with energy data and information for use in various SEM modelling, research, and analysis workstreams. Please refer to the attached CFT documents for detailed specification of requirements.
