Description

Kent County Council is tendering for a multi-supplier framework that HR training and development team can use to access training providers to deliver training services to KCC when required on a ‘call off' basis, by undertaking mini-competitions once the framework has been let.
Part of the role of the training and development team at KCC is to commission training and development for the whole of KCC, this role has led to the creation of this Training Framework so that HR Training and Development are able to meet the training needs of all staff at KCC.
Within the last year, training and development teams within KCC were restructured bringing together both corporate and social care development. Added to this there are a number of contracts currently in place which we used to commission training across KCC. However these are now coming to end and as part of the new ways of doing things within KCC, we are now joining together to tender for one framework. This coincides with a time when KCC are undergoing its biggest change ever, and one of the key changes is the way we do things.
We now have a Workforce Development Strategy across the whole of KCC , it's key objective to develop a workforce that is flexible and adaptable to change, and has the skills and capabilities to deliver effective services for the public and service users through increased service integration and delivery of transformation programmes.
In order that we achieve this, we need to ensure that we commission quality, value for money that supports business need. The training framework will deliver a platform for KCC to provide the relevant training and development for all staff. The framework will cover all areas across KCC including but not limited to IT, HR, Finance and Procurement, and Social Care.
The framework will be for a period of four years. The framework will be split into 154 Lots and suppliers will have the opportunity to tender for one or more of these Lots. Further information can be found in the Invitation to Tender documentation, which is available via the Kent Business Portal www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk
If you are a supplier who is interested in joining the framework, please submit an expression of interest, download the Invitation to Tender documentation and submit your completed tender response via the Kent Business Portal no later than noon on Monday 9.6.2014.
Should you have any questions, please use the discussion facility within Kent Business Portal www.kentbusinessportal.org.uk
