Description

SmartPly Europe DAC are seeking tender submissions from suitably qualified Engineering Companies to carry out Repairs the Wet Electric Stack Precipitator (WESP) at their SmartPly facility. Site Location: SmartPly, Belview Port, Slieverue, Co. Waterford It is envisaged that the works will take place during normal working hours next to a live production area. Please note that the successful Bidder is responsible for the supply and erection of scaffolding, removal and disposal of insulation lagging and all Materials, Components, Plant and Labour to complete the works as set-out in the Scope of Works. Due to the nature of works as set out in this Tender and other maintenance + construction activity being carried out on site, these have been deemed to be ‘’CONSTRUCTION WORK’’ as per the HSA’s Safety Health and Welfare at Work (Construction) Regulations 2013. The successful Bidder will operate as “CONTRACTOR’’ and will be required to provide site specific Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Training + Induction Records and Plant Certification, or other requested Information associated with the works, too the PSCS. Waterford Contact: Ronnie Roux – 051 831 420 PSDP: Malone O’Regan Consulting Engineers – 3-4 Canada Street, Waterford Contact: 051 876 855 PSCS: Successful Bidder The Contractor is responsible for the following: (Non-Exhaustive List) 1. Supply and erecting of scaffolding to access Stack Work Zone. 2. Removal and disposal of Insulation and Lagging from area of Stack Work Zone. 3. Determine Stack Repair Requirements. 4. Fabricate and deliver to site Flat Stiffeners. 5. Install Flat Stiffeners as per design. 6. Provide all necessary equipment to align the sections of the stack for repair works to be carried out. 7. Detach all necessary ladders, platforms etc to carry out the repair works. Refix all ladders and platforms upon completion of repair works. 8. Insulate and reclad the stack in the Stack Work Zone. 9. All Lifting Equipment, Craneage and Access platforms to carry out works. 10. Preliminaries, Insurance and Health + Safety 11. Handover Documentation, including any drawings. 12. Allow for Independent NDT (25 No. locations) on Repair and Stiffener Welds. Scope of Works will Include the following 1. Fabrication and Delivery of Plate Stiffness + Associated Parts to site • Dimension conformation, balancing and equalising prior to fabrication. • Fabrication of Stiffeners. (DWG C2282-SK2) • Delivery to Site, including off-loading. • Welding Certs for personnel. • Test Weld piece for independent Testing. • Surface Preparation + Painting (ex. Red Oxide Primer) • Prevent ALL overspray 2. Erect scaffolding to access work zone + remove insulation and lagging • Install scaffolding. Scaffolding must extend to and be supported at ground level. Scaffolding cannot be supported off the existing structures. • Carry out weekly inspections for duration of project works. • Install weatherproof covering on scaffolding to allow works in wet weather conditions • Remove insulation at lagging and discard by responsible means. • Remove Scaffolding after Project completion. 3. Repair works to Stack. • Determine Repair works (For Tender purpose Rust report ‘EIS Report No.10035.pdf’ can be used to estimate scope of repairs) • Cut and remove critical rusted sections. • Fabricate and weld new sections. • Independent NDT Testing 4. Stiffeners installation • Install Stiffeners • Independent NDT Testing 5. Steel Surfaces Preparation + Painting • Prepare Steel Surfaces to ST2.5 • Paint with Red Oxide Primer • Prevent any and all overspray 6. Cladding 7. Materials, Lifting Equipment and Access platforms to carry out works, temporary, mobile, or fixed. 8. Preliminaries and Insurance 9. Handover Documentation. 10.
