The ‘Waldidyll’ is a historic gastronomic location with a 100-year tradition within a forest area (so-called ‘Friedrichshain’) in Westerland/Sylt. The previous use as a catering business should be preserved. The attic is to be expanded into an operator's apartment. In the course of the renovation of the original main building, a significant dismantling of structural facilities takes place. The plan is to demolish the numerous approved extensions and leave only the historic building. A small new building with approx. 80 m2 gross floor area (GFA) on the ground floor is to be added to this, in which the new kitchen with the prescribed changing and social rooms for the staff, as well as the cold storage rooms including ventilation technology are located, primarily in accordance with today's regulations. The attic of the new annex with around 60 sqm GFA is to be connected to the DG of the historic part of the building in order to enable a so-called operator's apartment in the complete DG. The GFA of the historic part of the building is about 140 square meters on the ground floor and about 100 square meters in the DG.
