Description

Stadtwerke Flensburg GmbH (SWFL) operates a combined heat and power plant for generating electricity and district heating on the Batteriestraße 48 property in 24939 Flensburg. With the aim of CO2-neutral district heating generation, SWFL is planning the construction of a large heat pump system (GWP system) consisting of several heat pump modules. The brackish water of the Flensburg Fjord should serve as a heat source. In the first expansion step, a GWP plant with a heat output of 60 MWth is to be realized, which heats the district heating water from about 60 °C to up to 95 °C. The heat pump modules are installed in a building, which is to be built on a construction field in the middle of the existing structures. enco Energie- und Verfahrens-Consult GmbH (enco) takes over the general planning for the project.
