Description

For people with (physical) disabilities, transport to and from competitions and training can be a major barrier to (go) sports and movement. Due to the need to arrive at destination on time, the complexity of the transport of these athletes and their sports equipment, and the high distances that often have to be travelled, regular Dole group transport (such as Valys transport) is usually not sufficient for this target group. Therefore, since 2006, there has been a transport offer for team athletes with disabilities financed through the sports budget of the Ministry of Health and Sport. The institutional subsidy will not continue in 2020. As a result, the VWS intends to tender this transport offer by 1.1.2020.
