Description

Hydraulic works declared to be of general State interest fall within the competence of this Directorate-General for Water. Thus, the Jándula dam and, in particular, the spillway reform, is declared a work of general interest on the basis of Article 36(5) of Law 10/2001 of 5 July 2001 on the National Hydrological Plan, which states that ‘All the works included in Annex II are declared to be of general interest with the effects provided for in Article 44.2 and 119 of the Water Law and Article 10 of the Law on Forced Expropriation with regard to the public utility implicit in the State’s work plans’. Annex II.- List of investments, structured by basin, referring to the Guadalquivir Basin, contains the ‘New spillway for the Jándula dam’, which refers to the project in question. The present action aims to improve the structural safety of the dam of the Jándula, mainly by improving the drainage capacity of the spillway, currently insufficient and which conditions the exploitation of the dam, as well as carrying out other actions such as the waterproofing of the dam body, the study of the hydraulic transmissivity of the concrete of the dam body, the drainage of the foundation, the definition of auscultation elements, the renewal of the drains of the dam and the improvement of the accesses.
