Description

The purpose of the project is to deliver a new Human Training Centrifuge (HTC) and constructing a new building for the HTC. At the Center for Man in Aviation (CML), a HTC is currently housed within an existing building. The current HTC is outdated and needs to be replaced. The HTC is an electrically driven long arm centrifuge with a gondola attached. In the gondola, there is a chair, video- and audio equipment, and a display is installed. It also includes a monitoring system for the student/ pilot inside the gondola. A two-way communication system ensures the communication between the student/ pilot and the trainer/ doctor. The purpose of this HTC includes, but is not limited to: Pilot screening; - Training of AntiG-Straining Manoeuvres (AGSM); - Evaluation of individual Gtolerance; - Training with Gprotection measures; - Testing of Gprotection measures; - Physiological research. The “new building” entails the Design and Build of a new structure adjacent to the existing centrifuge building. It also includes carrying out mechanical - and electrical installation work, and all necessary work to ensure the HTC functions properly within the building. The purpose of the new building includes, but is not limited to: House the HTC and supporting facilities such as centrifuge room, control room, server room, fitting room, storage room, medical/debrief area, entrance hall, classroom, pantry, toilet, changing area and shower etc. Provide all facilities needed for operating the HTC while considering the surrounding environment, the existing building, facility boundaries, and neighbors. The HTC must be maintained by the potential supplier for a period of 20 years. The building will be transferred to the Government Real Estate Agency after delivery and acceptance.
