United Kingdom-Stroud: Refuse and waste related services
Purchase, receipt, transport and treatment by recycling of Co-Mingled Containers and Co-Mingled Paper and Card from a Council controlled collection point within Stroud District Council's area as detailed in Information about Lots below.
Lot Stream, Materials, Approximate tonnage pa, Approximate annual value.
— Lot 1: Fibres. Paper, card, cartons, 5 000-175 000 GBP.
— Lot 2: Containers. Co-mingled glass, mixed rigid plastics, cans, aerosols, foil, 5 300-106 000 GBP.
The Estimated Annual Contract Value for each Lot is based on current market conditions. Clearly, as this is a procurement involving a commodities market, prices may go up or down according to supply and demand. Negative values indicate an anticipated payment to the Council.
The estimated total contract value in respect of all Lots over the period of the contract is 281 000 GBP.
The contract period will be 2.7.2016-30.6.2018. The contract period in respect of each Lot may be subject to a single further extension of up to 12 months.
The Council gives no guarantee or warranty nor make any representation as to the accuracy of any indicative volumes or as to the value of the work during the contract period, other than that the appointed Contractor alone shall be responsible for the recyclates collected by the Council's services in connection with each Lot.
This contract specifically excludes contractor responsibility for the collection of materials directly from households.
Information about lots.
The contract will be based on 2 Lots which may be awarded separately, together, or not at all.
— Lot 1 — Fibres.
Requires collection by the Contractor from a Council controlled transfer facility within Stroud District a stream of Contract Recyclable Fibres including co-mingled paper, sacks, and cartons collected by Stroud District Council. The Council shall provide loading equipment and undertake the loading of Contractor's vehicles. Tonnage for Contractor's onward haulage and treatment by recycling is approximately 5 000 tonnes each year.
There will be a change in Collection Point approximately 2 months into the Contract between sites within Stroud District.
— Lot 2 — Containers.
