France-Valbonne: Public-opinion polling services
This contract is part of the interregional project – Caribbean geothermal phase 2 carried out by the Guadeloupe and Martinique regions, Ademe and several other partners.
The aim is to carry out a representative sample survey/survey of the populations of Guadeloupe, Martinique and Dominica to identify and analyse:
— Cognitive representations relating to geothermal energy in general, on the one hand, and to the installations required for its operation on the other. This first work is the main and first-level part of the study (component 1).
— cognitive representations related to renewable energies and their exploitation (component 2). The renewables concerned are mainly solar photovoltaic, solar thermal, wind, hydropower and biomass.
As regards representations and perceptions related to geothermal energy (section 1), the study carried out, in addition to an evaluation of all the populations concerned, should include an analysis on the basis of an over-sample of the populations bordering existing or future geothermal electricity production infrastructure, for an in-depth review of the areas directly affected.
The conclusions and conclusions of the study should make it possible to draw up an assessment of the state of the public, particularly in order to draw up an information and communication strategy relating to the Caribbean geothermal project phase 2, with precise affinity with the information needs of the population.
