Description

DLR is building and operating the Krummendeich WiValdi wind energy research park. At this research park on the Elbe estuary, two Enercon wind turbines and a total of four flanking measuring masts have already been put into operation for research purposes. The research park will now be extended by a third modular wind turbine, the so-called OPUS 3 of the type DLR500.50. The design of this wind turbine is based on the SG500.54 small series turbine and was developed in the project ‘ExpTurb - Design of an experimental turbine’ (funding code: 0325613, project documentation (dlr.de)). In the current project "OPUS 3 – Construction of an experimental turbine" (funding code: 03EE2045), the developed design will be implemented and the OPUS 3 experimental turbine will be built, erected and commissioned.
