France-Lyon: Architectural, construction, engineering and inspection services
since 1972, the International Agency for Research on Cancer (Circ), an independent organisation of the brands (World Health Organisation) has occupied a tower located at 150 Albert Thomas courtyard in the 8th district of Lyon; this is made available to the IARC by the City of Lyon, on the basis of an agreement between the City, France as host country and the Centre.
Hui, after various studies, it has been found that the tower has many malfunctions and problems, that its organisational structure no longer meets the research challenges and that its renovation would be so important that the question of the construction of a new building has been raised on a site in the Gerland district instead of the French establishment of Sang.
A pre-decision aid study (EPAD) was drawn up by Grand Lyon and presented to the CIRC and the City of Lyon in March 2012.
Grand Lyon wishes to continue this EPAD with comprehensive programming studies. It is on the basis of the detailed programme of the operation to be established that Grand Lyon will be able to consult the teams of architects as part of the project management competition procedure.
