Description

Finnish Institute for Health and Welfare (THL) requests your Tender for WGS Service. The procurement contains service for whole genome sequencing of bacteria, which depending on starting material, can consist of - Bacterial DNA extraction and whole genome sequencing (WGS) service or - Whole genome sequencing (WGS) service of provided DNA-samples The customer can order whole genome sequencing and send as starting material either bacterial isolates or DNA. The procurement is described in more detail in the Call for Tender and its annexes. The process and content of service order is described in Procurement description (annex 3). The service provided needs to be consistent with the procurement description, and the service provider needs to accept the procurement description and the process. The total number of samples to be sequenced (DNA samples and bacterial strains) is typically 500-1500 per year. The number of bacterial isolates is approximately 250-1000 per year. The number of DNA samples is expected to be lower, possibly between 0 to 500. The contract will be awarded to one (1) Service Provider. The Tender that is economically the most advantageous will win the competition. The most economically advantageous Tender shall be a Tender with lowest reference price. The total reference price for whole genome sequencing (WGS) will be calculated by adding the tendered prices from both starting materials, bacterial pellets and provided DNA. The contract period is valid for two (2) years and thereafter until further notice. The estimated start time for the Contract period is spring 2025.
