Description

The Council is currently seeking views from the market and service users about the future commissioning approach to targeted interventions to older people in sheltered housing and targeted interventions to older people in the community/working age adults. These services were formally known as supporting people services.
We have taken a co-production approach to this work and have worked with stakeholders to produce a commissioning plan that sets out the interventions we want to buy in the future and the outcomes that we want to see achieved.
Bristol City Council has adopted a 3 tier model of support for adults who need care and/or support (se BCC Market Position statement for further info: https://www.bristol.gov.uk/social-care-health/market-position-statements) — this commissioning plan forms a part of the Councils approach to supporting adults “When they need it” — Tier 2.
