Description

The City of Lidingö, the urban management office, has been entrusted with the procurement of framework contracts for meeting room furniture for the town of Lidingö (City) renovated town halls with an estimated occupation in summer 2018.
Lidingö town hall was designed by Sten Samuelsson in 1974-1967 and is a fine example of Swedish modernism, with a clear structural character. The building is now being renovated to update technical installations, coatings and create more operational spaces. One of the starting points for planning the new town hall has been to value the existing one, safeguarding the originality and attitude of the building. It covers both material selection, shape language and defined identity for both coatings and fixed and loose furnishings that include meeting furniture.
