Germany-Cologne: Engineering services
The Federal Republic of Germany, represented by the Landesbetrieb Straßenbau NRW (Rhine Rhine-Berg Regional Operation) is planning to construct measure A1, 8-str. Expansion from AS Köln-Niehl to AKLeverkusen-West, including the new construction of the Rhine bridge Leverkusen in approximately 2018 to approx. 2024.
The main trades are the demolition of the existing Rhine bridge and the construction of the Rhine bridge and 4.5 km of motorway construction. As a result of the eight-stree extension of the A1, the Leverkusen-West AK and AS Köln-Niehl must be adapted. Many civil engineering works are therefore being renewed in the construction sector. The construction of the noise barriers and the installation, modification and securing of supply lines in the planning area are also among the works to be carried out. The measure is also partly located in the area of the old Dhünnaue landfill, a former landfill. The entire planning room is to be described as very complex. The measure is subject to a high level of interest from industry, the public and the political community.
