Description

The existing bridge 25-8-1 (suspended bridge in a range of 102 m in width 3.5 m) that entered into service in 1940 has reached its final lifetime. During inspection, the bridge has been found to have a number of injuries to the hanging cables, the hangers and the backrest. The bridge is narrow and is limited to berth class 3 (BK3). Due to its damage, the bridge has suffered reduced access, Axel/Boggi-Gross weight has been reduced from 6/8/12 tonnes to 3/4/6 tonnes. Since the bridge connection is needed, nutrition is not an alternative, the Transport Administration reinvests in a new bridge connection in which the road passage over the bridge after the measure has been carried out can be allowed as a follow-on effect for berry class 1 (BK1) and with the possibility of oncoming traffic.
