Description

HUS Cancer Center uses the ARIA dose planning and treatment assurance system to implement dose planning for cancer patients in the HUS area. The Aria system is an information system covering the entire external radiotherapy, which integrates imaging devices, radiotherapy accelerators of different brands and the planning of radiotherapy at workstations into one information system, which also serves as the cornerstone of the documentation of radiotherapy. The dose planning system went through a major modernisation with the maintenance agreement signed in 2020, which merged the separate Aria dose planning systems of Helsinki and Lahti into a single centralised system. The ARIA dose planning system is double secured, including two servers and a separate calculation server, which are scattered in HUS's own data centers to ensure operations. The current maintenance contract is for five years and will expire on 31.8.2025. The cancer treatment operations in the Lahti region have been part of the operations of the HUS cancer centre, and have therefore been connected to the same system and maintenance agreement. The object of the acquisition is to extend the current maintenance contract for a fixed term of five (5) years, after which the contract will continue for an indefinite period. The contract covers the comprehensive maintenance of the ARIA dose planning and treatment assurance system during the contract period. The radiation activities of the Päijät-Häme wellbeing services county have been transferred from the beginning of 2025 to the responsibility of the Päijät-Häme wellbeing services county, so the new maintenance agreement serves HUS's cancer care activities only. The maintenance contract that is the subject of the procurement is divided into two parts: 1) Full Scale Select Appliance HA with full services including full maintenance of servers (2 pcs) (periodic maintenance, repairs, spare parts, maintenance), as well as the operating systems, licenses and software updates they need. 2) HUS SSA includes a calculation server, dose planning and treatment assurance system software (ARIA and Eclipse), as well as maintenance and updates for the internal information system of radiotherapy machines and its computers. The procurement covers HUS's current equipment base, as well as a radiation therapy device to be commissioned in 2025, and three (3) Identify systems to be connected to the contract during the contract period (estimated in 2027).
