Description

The Resource Management System (RMS) will replace manual processes for planning and dispatching key airport resources. The aim is to improve efficiency, reduce errors and lead times and enable better use of available capacity. The contract concerns a framework contract for the implementation and support of an Airport Resource Management tool with a focus on the dispatching of airport personnel (e.g. Airport Crew), with the possibility to dispatch other types of resources depending on possible future needs on the BAC side and the capacities of the supplier. The Platform should support, including but not limited to, the following capacities: integration of (external) shift planning for staff, real-time dispatching and job management in the workplace. The assignment follows a capability-driven approach with 'dispatching' as core capability. 'Planning' acts as a supporting capability, since in most cases this is provided by a separate planning system (e.g. Workforce Planning system) that provides the resources that will be dispatched. Within this capability-driven assignment, Airport Crew is the first use case included in scope that will be realized. Airport Crew is responsible throughout the airport for the smooth flow of passengers through the terminal and the provision of information. Other future use cases are part of the framework agreement and can be implemented at a later date.
