Description

At the start of the new KfW programme, the Federal Institute for Construction, Cityund (Bundesinstitut für Bau-, Stadtund).
Space Research (BBSR) launched a call for projects as a pilot project on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Transport, Building and Urban Development (BMVBS) in November 2011. In consultation with the Länder, 77 neighbourhoods were selected as pilot projects. The aim of the accompanying research is to gather knowledge on the generation and implementation of the neighbourhood concepts and, where appropriate, the renovation manager, to monitor implementation and to draw up guidance on the further development of the content of the funding programme. For the scientific follow-up of these pilot projects, an agency/researcher will be sought, which can pool both technical, scientific, organisational and media communication and moderate skills. The creation of consortia and/or the involvement of subcontractors is considered useful in order to ensure focused monitoring of the pilot projects themselves as well as coordination and technical and/or high-profile treatment through specific competences in real estate, urban development and technical contexts.
