Description

In the center of Faßberg, a resource-saving and energetically well thought-out renovation of the existing school building as well as a partial new building is to create a 2-course primary school with all-day care. The original school building dates from 1938 and the extension building from 1952. It consists of two full floors, is fully basement and has a developed attic. The floor area on the ground floor is 1,050 sqm and on the upper floor 850 sqm. The school building is to be extended by means of an extension or a new solitary building in accordance with the developed spatial concept. The school building and parts of the existing asphalt surfaces outside are polluted. There is a pollutant property under consideration of which a pollutant remediation must be carried out before the construction measure. In addition, a single-area/multi-purpose hall with corresponding adjoining rooms is planned, which can be used by associations outside of school operations and is also intended for smaller meetings. The planned single-field/multi-purpose hall should meet at least the standard dimensions for school sports. It is intended a new square design with traffic calming as well as involvement of the local church in relation to the newly revitalized town center. The church building should retain a view from the Marktweg when designing the square. It is also desirable to preserve as many valuable existing trees as possible, which characterize the center of Faßberg. The building plot has a size of about 12,000 square meters and is within the scope of the legally binding development plan Faßberg No. 6 "Ortskern". The project site is located within the listed "Red Settlement" (ensemble protection). The church on the site is also a listed building. The existing school building itself is not part of the listed ensemble. It is intended to make use of subsidies for sustainable construction.
