Description

The Otto-Dullenkopf-Park (ODP) in Karlsruhe's Oststadt is to be further developed in a climate-friendly manner over a total area of approximately 95,000 m². The subject of the procedure is the redesign of the last, approximately four-hectare southern section of the park. The planned area is divided into a realisation part (approx. 55,000 m ²) in the area of the renovated halls of the former bus depot as well as an idea part (total planned area approx. The goal is the development of a sustainable, identity-creating urban space that combines climate adaptation, ecological quality and social coexistence. The basis is a citizen participation (2025) and a feasibility study by the Helleckes office. The planning project envisaged in the context of this procurement procedure goes well beyond a purely green space planning individual measure. It exemplifies a holistic approach to urban development in Karlsruhe, in which ecological, social and economic concerns are brought together in an integrated overall concept. The Otto-Dullenkopf-Park (ODP) is to be further developed into a sustainable urban area, which will sustainably strengthen 's green infrastructure in the eastern city,  will make a significant contribution to climate adaptation in  and at the same time promote and improve social coexistence and the quality of life for the citizens.
